D. J. Moore grew up in Fort Union, Utah and currently resides in Salt Lake City’s trendy SoTro district with his wife and daughter. He edited the literary magazine Megaera from 1999 to 2006, and also wrote for Issues Magazine from 2001 to 2002. He graduated from the University of Utah with an English degree in 2000. He’s published a couple novels, a few novellas, and his poetry and short stories have appeared in several places. His horror novella, Pioneer Day, was a top 50 Amazon.com bestseller in its category.

He’s worked a variety of jobs over the years including Postal Clerk, Retail Clerk, Customer Service Agent, Data Entry Clerk, Credit Analyst, Web Administrator, and Fraud Analyst. He’s currently a Technical Writer.

He loves to travel and has visited Chile, Peru, Mexico, Jamaica, Italy, Scotland, and The Netherlands. He’s an adventurous eater and spent the night of his 25th birthday violently ill after eating horse jerky he bought off some guy selling it on the side of the road in Peru. He’s also a fan of quality cinema and appeared as an extra in Sharknado 4.
