I recently noticed that my novelette Sin Lieth at the Door got a one star rating on Amazon. It’s actually not a bad one star rating, all things considered. The reviewer basically says the story just wasn’t their thing. Who can argue with that? Everybody has their own personal preferences and you can’t please everybody. The reviewer even compliments me on my grammar.

While I don’t think “Sin Lieth at the Door” is the best thing ever written, I do think it deserves better than a one star rating. So, I’m making it free on Amazon from today to July 4th. It’s just a novelette, so it should take you only half an hour to an hour to read. If you like it, please rate it and even write a review if you’re so inclined. If you don’t like it… well you can still rate it but please let me know what I can do better. I don’t mind bad reviews as long as the criticism is constructive.

Here’s the description: When Cain murdered his brother Abel, God placed a mark upon Cain lest any finding him should kill him. According to Mormon folklore, the mark God placed upon Cain made him look hairy and ape-like. Since no one can kill him, Cain still wonders the earth to this day in the form of Bigfoot. A group camping in the woods is about to have a terrifying encounter with the First Murderer involving an unidentified body, a hidden cave, and a scroll written in a forgotten language. By the end of their adventure, Cain may claim another victim.
